The year 2020 has been very exceptional for all of us. It has felt like an endless rollercoaster full of tunnels. Luckily the old rollercoaster is my favourite ride in Linnanmäki amusement park. Between all the rush and uncertainty I’ve also had time to enjoy the new opportunities that the constant changes have brought.
During 2020 PING Helsinki has changed from the dream of a solo entrepreneur into a real startup. We have carried out over 100 different projects over the year. Our clients are responsible organisations who have the will to make things happen in a brave and open-minded way. And together we want to make this world better for each of us.
We do human to human marketing by humanising communications, engaging influencers and audiences, and creating omnichannel phenomena. Together with our strengthened ‘Heart team’, I dare to believe that big – almost impossible – dreams can come true if you make them!
The year at PING Helsinki has also been full of dreams and making them happen. We’ve had the privilege to create amazing phenomena together with our clients. For example #CoronaFacts proved that social media influencers have a significant role when it comes to societal communications. You could also call the Grand One awarded #YearInClarion project a phenomenon, as well as the #vaihtovuosisodankylässä (“#ExchangeYeariInSodankylä”) project that allured the national media.
Even though we have not been able to organise physical meetings after January, our virtual events have reached record audiences month after another. We’re hoping that we can meet in our events next year too.
One of our dreams also came true just before Christmas. We opened our very own office and meeting spot PING Gallery on Sofiankatu in Helsinki. Together with Torikorttelit we want to develop the city culture and offer our network the opportunity to experience the PING Festival atmosphere on an ongoing basis. We’ve got lots of experiences, inspiration, networking and learning to offer!
All in all we’ve had the opportunity to actualise incredible projects this year. And even though sometimes it has felt like nothing is certain, everything has constantly been possible!
This year 2020 ends in grateful feelings. We wish gingerbread scented and candlelit Christmas, and a very happy and brave New Year to our whole network!
