In the spring of 2014, we sat in the Tapas bar on Uudenmaankatu with my three entrepreneurial colleagues (Aku Varamäki, Sanna Salovuori and Marinella Himari) and stated that a new industry is emerging.
Commercial associations have been set up in various channels, but there are no common rules of the game or practices. We decided to set up an event that will bring together influencers from different channels and all industries, as well as corporate marketing decision makers who want to take advantage of this new way of marketing.
In front of a glass of wine, we came up with a name; something short, concise and evocative. PING is born with the goal of bringing people together (Interest), creating (Networks) and meeting each other (Gathering). PING Helsinki serves both influencers and marketing decision-makers and enables the growth and development of a new industry.
Since its establishment, PING Helsinki has been an independent, open-minded player that has brought together the entire field of influencer marketing. Over the years, however, our operations have evolved and changed form, but from the beginning responsibility and transparency have been at the heart of everything.
In the Spring of 2021, we will be the most responsible partner in strategic influencer marketing. We help our clients achieve their goals by combining influencer marketing, public relations and humane marketing of social media.
